At St. Gregory’s, our History curriculum is designed to develop children’s curiosity and knowledge of the past, and how it has shaped the world we live in. Children explore the past through a range of sources to help develop their knowledge and understanding. We are committed to providing children with opportunities to investigate and make enquiries about History in their local area, Great Britain and the wider world. They can develop a sense of who they are and their heritage. We are also committed to developing children’s ability to apply historical knowledge and develop subject specific skills to enable them to confidently communicate their findings and historical understanding to a range of audiences.
